No all forums n Subforums in ACP

Is there a way to automatically assign numbers (id) to all forums and sub forums
so that it becomes easy to select a particular forum or a sub forum from the drop down menu
while creating a new sub forum or rss?

Eg

1Category1
2subforum1
3subforum2
4subforum3

5Category2
6subforum1
7subforum2
8subforum3

or this format would also be cool

1.1subforum1
1.2subforum2
1.3subforum3

2Category2
2.1subforum1
2.2subforum2
2.3subforum3
