princetontiger Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 when i hit 'mark posts as read', i still see the orange icon residing next to topics...
riven3d Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 ive always gotten that, no matter what forum version a site is running
Mat Barrie Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Meh. For me it appears and disappears based on (what seems to be) the air temperature, the alignment of the planets, and whether or not Charles wears a tie. And people say computers can't do random. So not true, IPB proves it wrong daily.

Mat Barrie Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Since it seems people don't get what I mean, I mean that the pips indicating that "this thread has unread posts" seem to appear and disappear at random on some threads. Example, every tenth (not exactly, but you catch the meaning) refresh of this forum's index will result in several threads which I have read, being marked unread and the orange icon appearing.
