TheProphet Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Ok, I'm new to the whole invision board thing, so this feature may be avaliable, and I just havn't found it, though I don't think it's avaliable. What I need is to be able to create an account type that is able to do some of the admin things, but not all of them. Eg, I want said admins to be able to add forums rooms, and have control over those rooms, and thats it. So basicly what I'd like is to be able to select sections of the ACP section that they can use. I hope that makes sence. Regards TheProphet
Wolfie Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Look at this thread: http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=149335 Not sure if you are aware of it, but there is a multiple level of power.. Admin, Supermoderator and "SuperAdmin"Admin - Has access to the AdminCPSupermoderator - Has moderator access in ALL forums that they have access toSuperAdmin - basically, the root admin account type access, highest power there is. Problem is, with AdminCP access, it's raw power to all the functions to my knowledge. But if you read and respond to the thread/topic I pasted the link for, maybe it will be added into the next release :)
TheProphet Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Hey thanks Dacity2 yeah I new about those accounts, What I was looking for some something like if you have Access ACP ticked when adding a new group you would be sent to a page were you could specify which Access ACP options they have access to eghttp://bbcomputers.com.au/page2.html
Rosebud519 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 You can create a hybrid level admin and call the group something else, and if needed create new permission mask for it. I did this on our board and changed the group from admin to a lower level group rank. I basically combined admin group and another group together and got a hybrid group, and changed what needed to be changed. We were creating a support admin position instead of an enforcement admin position.
