Just passing a long a list of Events enhancements I feel would be useful for many sites that use Events. 1. Door Prizes One caveat to Events I've experienced in my communities that maybe IC can add to it in v5 is Door Prizes! For some of our in person Events, we have Door Prizes that are given by the site and donated by sponsors, business, and members. It's great to highlight these in the Event itself to increase interest in attending, but to also recognize those that may have contributed Door Prizes to the Event (i.e. sponsors, businesses, members, etc). Adding a layer to the Event that showcases these is very helpful. In addition, for those who use a…

It would be great if, when we refer someone to another topic by embedding a solved forum topic, the embedded topic would show that it is solved.

So I have a notice in my ACP that my license is up for renewal on the 14th. Fine, I click renew now and it takes me to the client area. The problem is, there's nothing in the Client Area for me to click to actually renew and no indication of what I need to do. Trying to give you guys money here... help me out.

We do not use YouTube or Vimeo for our videos. While checking a Gumlet URL, we found that you are considering it as Embed. Can you make changes to your API to Embed Gumlet URLs the same way as YouTube? This will help many creators out there. Sample URL: https://www.gumlet.com/watch/64be6a1705ab8a164db198a5/

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 Q&A structured data issue(s). The following issues were found on your site. Top non-critical issues‡ Missing field "text" (in "mainEntity") ‡Non-critical issues are suggestions for improvement, but do not prevent the page or feature from appearing on Google. Some of these issues can affect your appearance on Search; some might be reclassified as critical issues in the future. We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.

I've been using IPB since 2006 with the MSSQL driver. I was always attracted to the flexibility of the platform with minimal programming. Recently tech support has become more difficult. It's harder to find code examples and removing the marketplace killed a creativity source for me. I had a stroke a few years ago, so my development skills are retarded, but still I believe this is one of the poorer organized forms in regards to technical documentation. A wiki, kept up to date by your community, would really help in development IMHO. Good luck all! Martin

I think it would be really nice to have the ability to create a post and schedule it to be posted at a later date/time. This would allow me to do a LOT of work ahead of time on my forum.

If there are say more than 100 subforums and the user selects all of them except a couple of them (in the Fluid View Filter Checkboxes widget) which s/he is not interested in viewing their topics, it would be more performant to count the number of forums and number of checked boxes: If the number of checked boxes is greater than the number of unchecked boxes then WHERE forumId NOT IN (x,y,x) // Just address the unchecked forumIds to minimize the number of IN clauses // as opposed to - WHERE forumId IN (97 subforums IDs) else WHERE forumId IN (a,b,c,d,e,f...) end if HTH

In setting up a Photography based site these are somethings that have come up that maybe could be looked at in Version 5 if not already. Lightbox - Do not allow full image view, it exits the site to a new window on 2x or 3x click. Rather just close the Lightbox. handling EXIF data - when we upload a image I imagine what currently happens is it captures the EXIF data to database, and resizes image, thumbnails etc. In the process it strips the EXIF data from the image. Would like to see that original EXIF data not be stripped or be re-written to those images. Site wide Image protection - I know it's very easy to get images from sites Id like to see it not …

I'm requesting the option for the site admin to enable (or disable) features within clubs. For example, I'd like to only allow our members to add a forum to their club, but not a blog or any other features. Allowing too many options sometimes confuse members who aren't as tech-savvy. Better yet, it would be great if we could enable or disable features based on a custom field. For example, we could define a custom select field that serves as a category field and are able to enable/disable features per category. I realize the second idea is a lot more complex, but would love to see at least the first option included. 🙂

In the automated task generateRenewalInvoices.php, Commerce will try to automatically take payment when a renewal invoice is generated (and a billing address is stored). While I don't think this is wrong necessarily, its not behaviour I desire, and my customers definitely do not want this. The offending line of code is: /* Try to take payment automatically, but *only* if we have a billing address (i.e. the customer has a primary billing address set) otherwise we don't know how we're taxing this and the customer will need to manually come and pay it - we can skip this if tax has not been configured */ if ( $invoice->billaddress OR \count( $availableTaxes…

Quick question about the advertisements we can include in our communities. Is there any plan to support video ads/pre-roll on the built-in IPS video player? Connect something like an Adsense or other GAM instance to allow for pre/mid/post-roll, with options to appear on all/only certain categorised videos? Looking at my Adsense help page, it seems I can create a video ad tag but I don't think there is a means to insert this into a video on IPS. I imagine this could be an extra option in the AdminCP's Advertisements section? EDIT: Just realised where I've posted this, d'oh. If there's no functionality for this yet, please feel free to move this to the Feedback fo…

I opened this question and ends as a new feature proposal for upcoming versions: We need to set permissions by category or forum groups. Not sense to set permissions one to one when we have a lot of categories, forums and subforums. Can you consider to add in upcoming updates? Thanks

I'm glad to see og:image tags added for forums, it was much needed. But I'm surprised it wasn't added for pages as well. Is there a reason this isn't a feature, or is it possible to be added? We have a few pages I'd love to have special OG images for when sharing.

Blogs/entries have no moderation like Articles. Blogs/entries don't have an option to cross-post to topics alike Articles. Blogs can go unnoticed when people post advertising, spam content for SEO which is highly prevalent. Moderation feature for blogs/entries can control such spam. Additionally, if there is an option to cross-post any new blog content into topics (like Articles), people could see them in the Topic view and Report if anything is fishy.

Hi team, I think that will be a great update to add recent activity in a search results for every topic. Because now only show the creation date, so looks like is an old topic, and they can have a lot recent replies so it is a recent hot topic. For exemple, this topic named "My site is down / slow" was created 09/08/23 but have last reply in 11/15/23 (Last wednesday) If we show the last reply field too we offer to user signals of freshness and actuality. Actually looks like all topics results are olds. Can you consider to future updates? Thanks

Hi, One important addition to the platform would be to add support for gmail's feedback loop, so we could easily identify which emails are being marked as spam by our users. Currently, our email server is with a low reputation on Gmail's Postmaster Tools, as many users are marking our transactional emails as spam insteading of unsubscribing from the topics they are following, for example. It would be nice to see exactly the kind of emails that the users are marking as spam, so we can improve our server's reputation and deliverability. More info: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6254652 Thanks.

In Fluid View, there is no visual cue to indicate if any filters are applied using the checkboxes in the sidebar widget. If there are many subforums, user may miss to notice some subforums were checked at the bottom and wonder why not all topics are showing in the topic list. On the top where it renders the title "Topics", it could instead display (only if any filters are in effect) - Topics (4 filters) clear The above title shows how many filters are currently in effect and a "clear" link button to reset all filters with one click (instead of having to find each checked box and uncheck them one at a time which is a bad UX). TIA

Some topics are so short-lived like job postings that are valid for just 30 days. Is it possible to set a specific job postings forum to have its topics purged after 30 days? I see only a global setting to purge topics after specified number of years from all forums. it would be nice to have this feature for specific forums.

Clicking on "Enable in this browser" does nothing using the new Safari PWA on my Mac. Not sure if this issue is specific to me or is a general bug affecting other users.

Just started using the PWA for this site in Safari ("Add to Dock" in Share menu) on my Mac... The default theme for Invision Community still doesn't have buttons/links for Back/Forward/Refresh when using the PWA. Keyboard shortcuts are available and the Go menu does have Back and Forward actions, so not having UI elements is not a big deal on the Mac PWA. But the same issue affects the UX when using the IOS PWA so it is a problem for Apple device users. Please fix the default theme for Invision Community to address this navigation issue in the PWA and make sure the new default theme in IC5 corrects this UX issue.
