  2. The "owner" can be a bigger entity than just one person. Which means the "owner" should be able to download the files. If indeed only one person may download the file I would advice in removing the download button for all other contacts to clear confusion. Otherwise add the option to download the zip for all owners.
  3. Don't feel like this should be on a forum but don't know a better way to ask. I'm really wondering why Alternative contacts are allowed to pay for a license but can't download the software corresponding to it. The button is available and only shows the following notification: We are working on our forum with 3 developers and sharing login info is out of the question (something about security?). Currently I need to forward the files, which is fine for now, but having the contacts option, let them pay but not download is weird. Hopefully this a "bug" and it should be available to all contacts or this will be changed soon to being able to download.
  4. At the forum settings page you can select the default sort order for each individual forum. But it seems I'm missing a very important option (at least to us), we want to switch between asc and desc sorting. It's already available if you manually edit the URL from asc to desc, but there is no setting. For us this is a pretty useful feature because we archive a lot of topics and use a codes by date to name topics. In this example I've adjusted the url and the sorting order would be correct for this forum. What we need is a simple select to reverse the sorting order here: Like this: It's not something very special, pretty much every forum platform we have used in the past had this option available in the settings. Would be a great addition to Invision as well.

  6. On our old board we where able to insert mycode (shortcodes to format things) now we need to use the CKEditor toolbars, which is perfectly fine but there is a annoying limitation and I'm wondering if anyone found a way around it. When creating a custom button you can add a option, but no way to add 2 or even 3 options so you can prefill all info instantly. What I would like to insert as an option are Picture and Title for our monthly updates, it shows an avatar of one of our team members and title of the subject they are talking about. Creating the HTML for it isn't a problem but I would like to have the 2 options in the popup so our team members don't have to edit anything afterwards. So if anyone knows a way around the 1 option limit, would love to know!
  7. @Jim M, is this in the works for V5?
  8. It sure is, we use it a lot for our own platform and it helps with readability and seriously is a quality of life improvement for selections like this.

  10. I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention. It would be great if get an option like the multi select from select2 https://select2.org/getting-started/basic-usage#multi-select-boxes-pillbox This way you can instantly see, search and edit the secondary group for a user.

  12. Ok, scratch this, it took a while, but it synced. Still wondering what triggers the sync.
  13. What would be the update rate? Because I tried and it looks like events where'd imported after initial import.
  14. The the events backend under iCalendar there is a nice button that triggers the refresh/new import for new events from a ical file. I've checked but the link produced is locked to a user. So I can't trigger it with a simple old fashioned crondjob. Is there a way to do this without the user locked key? There is Zapier, but we don't want to use that. Why? Because it's another service we need to keep up and we have everything we need to do it ourselves. Cronjob is also being used for the tasks, so why not just add this in as well?
  15. Ah yeah, thanks @Jim M Because the moderator roles where unrestricted I was able to see the posts, I've changed those settings and now I can only see what is allowed. Thanks again!
  16. There is no group that allows seeing posts from other people. Group (id=7) has access to forum (id=146) can post and see own topics. But is not allowed to see others topics. I've updated the login info, if you need any further information, please let me know.
  17. I'm setting up a locked off "questions" part on our dev forum and I notice that the Administrator is allowed to access this part of the forum even tough it doesn't have permissions to do anything with it. If I do the same thing with a normal discussion forum and turn off the permissions for the Administrator the Administrator can't see it. These are 2 very different behaviors and I'm wondering if that's intentional or accidental. Settings: Front end: Top topic is made by a different user so expected would be that the Admin (me) could not see it. This is a Discussion board with the same settings: It should NOT be underneath the "contact" category, so it works as expected: Am I missing a setting? Is this something that works as expected? If so, why does this type of board have a different behavior as the other types?
