Is there a way to automatically add another member to a chat each time a chat is started with a particular member? e.g. a member starts a private chat with the Administrator and a particular Moderator is automatically added in.

Another forum I have with invision replace the ":)" with however the new one replaces it with this emoji: 🙂 Personally I do not like this new emoji as it looks like a fake/no smile emoji. The old one looks like a real happy face. How can I get the new forum to replace ":)" with ? Just like my other one is doing. Many thanks in advance

OK, in the order of when featured, or when the blog entry was created I guess? So would need to manually go and un-feature topics, no default way of only showing the X amount? Would make more practical sense surly, if using the featured as paid featured posts. Or just if the community wants to show only he latest and most relevant featured posts 🤔

Featured blogs are shown at the top of the blog homepage, how many featured blog posts will it show? e.g. is it the last 10 featured ones for example. Or does it scroll through them indefinitely so if had 100 featured posts it would randomly scroll between 100 of them? Many thanks in advance

I'm getting a 502 error whenever I click on the edit button next to the 'member' group. I can edit all other member groups fine, I have tried clearing system cache, still the same issue. Please can someone escalate this to support for me? It is for my 2nd cloud hosting set up (do not wish to publicly post links to my forum here)

Is there a built in welcome message feature in the native version of Invision? I thought that one was introduced but can't seem to find it. The images that previously showed when creating a web app on a mobile device (for example saving the forum to home screen on an iPhone) or when saving to the bookmark favourites that previous appeared with my forum when on self hosting no longer appear, they were previously uploaded via FTP. Where within the admin section can I add these images? I can see favicon and share images which are there but not where to add the others. Thanks

Many thanks for your reply! unfortunately that is Impossible because it is cloud hosting, and invision unwilling to help. Developer also said it is hard for them to debug as it is cloud hosting. And it is why I had asked invasion in the first place 😞 All I want is for my board to work fine. I am happy with hosting with invision and their help migrating to them, I just want my board to be able to work and to have the tools to be able to find any issues that arise and to fix them (there will be many issues in the future as each time they release a new software there will be issues with applications and plugins which subsequently need to be upgraded) they need to provide a way for their clients to easily find the issue so that they can fix Do you know if there is another way to check?

Invision haven't been very helpful with regards to a few errors on my board the have appeared since migrating, and are speculating it is due to 3rd party application and plugins, which of course it could possibly be, or it may be some other issue on my board as no one has actually checked. When enabling one application on a developers test site, it is showing as working absolutely fine. Though enabling on my board (since migrating to cloud) causes it to crash my forum completely. There is also an issue with guests being able to inject spam onto the forum despite settings disallowing them from doing so, there should be no plugin or application that its able to get around invision core feature and allow spam form being injected IMO. Invision were unable to tell me any details and directed me here. When enabling the application that crashes my forum it gives me this error: Does anyone here know what this could be? I am not a developer

Possible to do this for just new topics that are posted in the combined fluid view forums, opposed to email notifications for all new posts in this section? As looks like the activity feed might be showing for all posts, rather than being able to only show for topics only?

Is there a way for members to follow the forums in a combined fluid view so that they can receive email notifications when new topics are posted etc? As I can not to seem to see the button anymore. It would be good if there is a way to follow all of the subforms that are combined with a single follow button, as the view is combined into one page. Many thanks in advance 🙂

This is looking very nice indeed and very social media-esk style of community. With each new version is a bit of a headache to update existing plugins and apps 😅 but on a fresh install or one with no 3rd party apps, this will be great as looks lovely! What is the expected release date for version 5? Sorry, ignore my question above, I can see that you have already answered, sometime in 2024 🙂

I think maybe an other topic was set up, but would be a great idea to include Apple Pay / Google Pay reassuring automatic billing for subscriptions (through Stripe), especially as Invision are removing feature (e.g. physical products) to help focus on helping communities to monetise their commentaries. Makes sense to reduce friction as much as possible there to increase sign ups. Not sure what would happen currently if I enabled it through invasion for a subscription, their first payment would go through but 2nd would fail and they would be sent a link asking to make payment?

This must have changed since last time it was added, as now Stripe are asking for additional information and no info on what two put within the Invision admin section. I presume previously it just needed the endpoint copied snd pasted hence why it doesn't mention the others. When going to create the end point it is asking for this other information too, any idea what exactly is needed? Listen to Events on your account on events on connected accounts? And which events should be selected? Or should I selected all events? Thank you in advance, hopefully this post is useful for others too 🙂

OK, seems the Authy app isn't discontinued, just the API connecting it, which will be replaced by Verify. The cost of which I am unsure as I could only find pricing per individual SMS Authententication. Found out that from about April of this year it was/is possible to sync Google Authenticator codes across devices. So may be a good alternative for those who wish to use 2FA.

Just set up a new cloud host, Authy doesn't work and says: This is surprising, as surly an easy implementation that could be maintained? The suggested Verify is a paid alternative, is this a business decision of Invision due to affiliate commission from Verify, a Twillo app they also have the option for SendGrid another Twillo app for transactional emails. I understand there is also Google Authenticator (which is free), but Authy is more practical than Google Auth (IMO) as can sign into the app in multiple devices and have a backup, and a lot of people do use Authy. The screenshot is from a separate new cloud hosting. But will the removal of this affect my old community which I have just moved to cloud host? (currently I am using Authy on that, as are other users and members too) removing it could cause some issues. The above screenshot could of course just be an error and it is still supported?

+1 for this Would save the customer having to type out their billing info etc, and reduce friction and therefore increase sign ups, makes complete sense for an invison community which relies on subscriptions (as no physical product sales) to have this feature! 🙂 I hope invision can add this, if just allowing their gateway to allow Apple & Gogole Pay through stripe (if possible)
