Spoke too soon. The reactions menu is not showing up in the record view.

Everything seems to be working as expected on my end. Running 4.2 beta 3.

I know everyone is busy with 4.2 now, but any news regarding this?

I will take a look but I have no clue now, I mean all this is doing is inserting the javascript from silktide, unmodified.

Updated this file, this should be working now. Added a setting to choose which usergroups see the message

It's working just fine on my sites :/ I'm at work now, but I'll take a look later see if I'm missing something.

I just released a new version, it shouldn't make any difference though for that error, it's working fine on my sites. If you want me to take a look, provide me access to your ACP with permission for the themes and plugins areas.

I don't know if you know the site https://gumroad.com/, but I'm going to use it as an example of what I would like to have as an option for files in the suite. In that site you are allowed to specify a minimum purchase price for your products. So lets say that I put something for sale at a minimum price of $5, people can buy it for that amount, or they can pay more if they wish. Now, what's more interesting here is that you can set free files, setting the minimum price to 0, but people can still choose to give you some money for it, kind of like a tip. This is one of my products: People can input 0 in the box and get the file right away, or they can input whatever amount they feel like. I'm not gonna reveal any numbers, but this system kinda works, people tips more than I expected for free files.

At this rate I'm just gonna wait for IPS to re-introduce the feature... lol. @The Old Man what you are requesting... to me it feels a bit out of the scope, right now the topic comments are not really "copied" to the article, they show up in the article because of the IPS Pages setting "store comments in forum topic". Maybe it would be easier to develop a script to move your topics with all the messages into articles for real. But that's up to Adriano.

Another setting is needed to also choose what to do depending on if you promote the first post of the topic, or any other in the topic. If you promote the first post, then what NoGi said works just fine, I don't see why it would need to be different.

Can't the plugin just have an ACP setting to choose what to do? 1. Use the existing topic as the topic for the promoted article comments instead of creating a new topic when saving the new article. 2. Whatever other option. I believe is not use the existing comments at all.

It appears as long as the user has not clicked the consent button. Once clicked it won't show again, unless they clear the cookies.

It should work, working both on my live and dev sites running that version. Try clearing the cache with the support tools and / or re-installing. If that doesn't work, I can take I look if you send me access to your ACP, (themes and plugins section).

Errr... I'm not attacking you or anything, maybe my wording wasn't the most appropriate... I meant that I had this in mind when I purchased it, just to have the same functionality I had in 3.4, I think we even talked about it in the private conversation.

Still waiting for that feature, bought it just for that, currently not using it because of all the hassle of duplicated topics when saving a promoted article.

It's working for me in 4.1.11, try re-installing or clearing the cache using the support tool in the ACP.

I sent a private message to Mike about this, but I thought I should leave this here for others to discuss. I suggested that instead of having this as a global option for all the forums, it would be nice of we could enable the option on a per topic basis, so we can control which topics use this feature. He's planning to add that on a per forum basis, and then per topic.

Yeah I guess this is kinda needed.

@MaNiAc LRSC I've upgraded my site to 4.1.7. Plugin seems to be working fine. If you want me to take a look, send me a message with access to your AdminCP (Plugins and Themes).

I will upgrade my dev site and test it in a few hours when I finish and leave work.
