This was raised in an early Alpha, and I think a discussion with Matt was had about how to conceptually manage this sort of issue in future V5 versions, but for the here and now it does present a semi-serious issue; when a Pages database is synced with a Forum, and Tags are used on either the record or the topic, it causes both content items to appear on the Tag page, which causes duplication on the discover feed.
^ See above for an example. Ideally, as I'd like the Pages database to supercede the associated Forum it's synced with, the Topic wouldn't appear on this page, just the Page record (the second 'Welcome to Pages' entry in the image above with the picture thumbnail above it).
It's a strange situation because technically, this could be considered both a bug and a feature request... but as this is causing content duplication I'm going to focus on that side of things and ask if this can be resolved short-term somehow.
I don't know if this would be an easy fix for this while the whole concept of Pages/Forums is (may?) be reconsidered, but I imagine an elegant solution could be to add an option within the Pages Database settings in AdminCP, asking admins which content type they would prefer to make visible on these Tag pages (or leave it so both can be visible as per the above image)? Something like the below?
