Changing tag, empty Recent Content

I changed a tag and let the queued background tasks run to rename the used tags. But the tag page now had an empty Recent Content section that previously showed a lot of content. 

Bug or intentional? Not sure there is some other task which would have added the changed entries to the search index(?). I fixed it quickly be rebuilding the entire search index.
