Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted Wednesday at 03:55 AM4 days I have System 4.7.20 and just got an email from my forum saying "Upgrade RequiredYour community is on an outdated version of Invision Community 4. Please upgrade to the latest version of Invision Community 4 or switch to Invision Community 5. Starting May 1, 2025 we will automatically apply the latest version 4 build."When I go to Applications and check for upgrade it says it's up to date, but there is a big"upgrade required" message there as well, but no upgrade is available. You don't have to upgrade to IC 5 if you don't want to. But should you want to upgrade to it, then a manual upgrade is required as it can't be done through the Admin Panel. Assuming you are self hosted, please see the Manual Upgrade section in the following link:https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/advanced-options/server-management/install-and-upgrade-r259/A couple of things to note. You must make sure that your server meets the IC 5 requirements and all your third party stuff will not work anymore. Edited Wednesday at 08:22 AM4 days by Miss_B
