Hello IPS Support & Community,

I am experiencing a critical issue with my Invision Community IPS Forum installed on my domain tfx.reviews .

Issue: Cannot Access Admin Panel or Use Forum

  • When I try to log into the Admin Panel, I get the following error message:

Sorry, there is a problem. Something went wrong. Please try again. Error Code: EX1364

  • The forum was working fine before, and this issue appeared suddenly.

  • I cannot update, manage, or use the forum due to this error.

What I Have Tried:

  • Checked server logs and error messages but could not pinpoint the exact cause.

  • Attempted common troubleshooting steps like clearing the cache and restarting MySQL/PHP.

  • Verified that my server and database are running properly.

What I Need Help With:

  1. How to fix EX1364 error and regain access to the Admin Panel?

  2. What could have caused this issue? There were no recent major changes to the server.

  3. Are there any manual fixes in the database or files that I can apply to resolve this?

Server Details:

  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04

  • Database: MySQL

  • Forum Version: Latest IPS Community Suite

  • Hosting: Dedicated Server

  • Cpanel Web Panel

This issue is impacting my community, so I would appreciate any insights or solutions. Thank you in advance for your help!

Best Regards,
Frank Rayner

The forum was working fine before, and this issue appeared suddenly.

As a rule of thumb, issues just don't happen out of nowhere, something triggers them. If you didn't change anything on the forum, maybe something was changed server side.

Checked server logs and error messages but could not pinpoint the exact cause.

Was there any message logged in most recently?

Sorry, it was PHP 8.1 all along. I mistakenly typed PHP 8.2 instead of PHP 8.1.

Okay, I understand your point, but how can I solve it? I have another forum running on the same server with the same PHP version and configuration, and it wasn’t giving any errors. However, this forum is showing a 'can't log in' error. I’ve tried multiple database backups, but the issue still persists. My point is, if this were a server-side issue, why is the other forum working fine? We have over 100 websites hosted on this server, and everything else is running flawlessly. I’m here to figure out and resolve the issue as soon as possible. Please let me know if you can help.

Something i triggering the issue on this particular installation imo. Hence why it's happening here and not on the other installations.

Please let me know if you can help.

I can't be of much help than this from the sidelines I am afraid. I will need to check the issue directly in the environment where it's happening in order to be able to help properly.

Can you post here the messages logged in the Server Error log page?

#1364 is a MySQL error code, likely suggesting that you have a non-standard column added to one of your database tables.

If you look in the core_log database table, you should see more information about the error, including which column is causing the problem.

there is no core_log database table

That's an Ipb table and it should be present in the database. Can you post a screenshot of the whole database? i.e. with all the tables that it has.

Here is core_log

It appears to be empty. What about my previous question?

Can you post here the messages logged in the Server Error log page?

There might be important clues there that can help in pinpointing the cause of the issue.
