That type of error is almost always server related. Can you check the Server Error log page and post here the most recent messages logged in there?

WHat was the latest change done to the forum prior to this happening?

Its a dev version of my website which i copied and upgraded from v4 to v5.

In the log page i can see this (storage was set to filesystem, i changed it to mysql and same issue) :

WHat is strange is that some download page open and others show 500 error !

for topics all what i tested lead to 500

You need to check permissions on datastore and uploads (including all subfolders) there, as you have permissions issues

They are both 0775 :/

datastore empty, uploads i set all to 0775.

I can tell you only that the system is unable to write there
