Phil h Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hi, How do we go about getting Client area Ticket Support on doing an upgrade ? It has been a while since visted and used to be able to pay for Ticke support. Thanks. Phil
Marc Posted February 16 Posted February 16 You would ask on here. There is no way to directly post a ticket. If we needed to create a ticket from it for some reason, we would. If you can let us know what problem you are having, we can then advise for you
Phil h Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Great thanks for your help. I need to update PHP on my sever before looking into upgarde the forum but think the IPb version i am on will not work with PHP8.1 Do you offer a service to do the forum upgrade for me ? Currently on. PHP version 5.6.32. MySQL version 5.5.61-cll.
Marc Posted February 16 Posted February 16 We do not offer an upgrade service for classic self hosted customers, unfortunately. It may be worth looking at the provider directory if you do want to employ someone for that purpose. You can find those here https://invisioncommunity.com/third-party/providers-directory/ Is this an upgrade from 3.4?
Phil h Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 (edited) From 4.3 i think but not sure where to check ? Edited February 16 by Phil h

If you want to upgrade from that version, you need to perform a manual upgrade and change the PHP version right before (or after) the new files are uploaded: If you have 3rd party modifications installed, you might also need some extra steps (like disabling them before the upgrade, searching for a new version compatible with PHP 8, etc). If you're uncomfortable doing it yourself, there's the option of hiring a 3rd party Provider to do it for you, as Marc mentioned. Edited February 16 by teraßyte
