Hi.

I recently updated forum to latest and cleared cache. Now I can't write new posts.
I get this error in console:

caught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at ckeditor.js?v=afda5a8f901687772231:24:41409)

What PHP version is your site currently using?

PHP Version 8.2.4

It was ok until I updated today to red marked security forum update v4.7.11.1.

Please switch to PHP 8.1 maximum. We have not yet confirmed compatibility with that PHP version

We downgraded to 8.1 but that didnt help. It seems its JS issue:

Please clear your site cache in the support area of your admin CP first of all, and then test again. Also, please reset the editor to default if you have added any manual items there

We did that all you suggests. The issue still persists.

  • Solution

I’d download the current package and upload the folder applications / core / interface / ckeditor.

I had problem a couple of times where this folder were simply empty or missing files, not sure how.

Thank you for suggestion! I replaced ckeditor.js with old file from old backup. Works now.

@Marc Stridgen

It seems the issue is in ckeditor.js from latest update which you changed.

  • Community Expert

Have you tried replacing this with an altered copy from a download first of all? This is what was suggested above, not to add an old version

Ok works when uploading new file from latest update. It seems a bad upload after all.

Marcin, by the way, something went broken here.
