I need to send a bulk mail to one usergroup. Is there an option to override their settings for receiving mail?

If you mean the restriction to receive news and information, which bulk mail relies on:

 

I remember an older answer from Invision Community staff that it was a conscious decision to not allow bulk mails to be sent to everyone, so by default this is not possible. I wish though that it was, too.

There is no option to ignore a users preference on mail within the core platform, and to be honest it would actually be very much recommended against

There are however some situations where by law you have to inform your users (all of them) about certain occurrences, e.g. data privacy breaches, at least within the EU.

Hi Marc,

Yes I fully understand this and how it could easily be abused. In this instance I need to send vital information to a certain usergroup to update their information within an app feature. Not contacting them isn't an option unfortunately.
