"500 Error" after uploading files to the server

Hi.
I am forced to write here in a public forum because I encountered a bug.

I uploaded a clean install of IPS 4.7.7 to my web server and unfortunately the "Error 500" error popped up.
I'm uploading it for the third time with the intention of success, but unfortunately, immediately after uploading the installer, an error pops up.

I have PHP 8.1 version, I also tried changing to PHP 8.0 version but no effect.

What can cause this error?
I noticed it for the first time in my career when I uploaded the latest version of IPS.

Before you get too far, I'd advise checking the requirements checker on your server: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/

If that is all green, two options to find the actual 500 Server Error:

  1. Try going to /admin and seeing what error is present.
  2. On your web server, go to /uploads/logs.

Hi @devvLove,

Whilst this is a public forum, it is the central place to get any support for Invision Community. We have incorporated the peer support concept which means our knowledgeable community can also assist where they can if they happen to beat us to the topic.

We also have the ability to escalate issues to other teams via a ticket, so you are not receiving any less support than before. 😉

The same error occurs when calling /admin.
No logs with nothing inside /uploads/logs.

Please help me.

I’m afraid, that is different than the original. You will want to check your server’s error log for that one. Please contact your hosting provider if unsure.
