I uploaded a clean install of IPS 4.7.7 to my web server and unfortunately the "Error 500" error popped up. I'm uploading it for the third time with the intention of success, but unfortunately, immediately after uploading the installer, an error pops up. I have PHP 8.1 version, I also tried changing to PHP 8.0 version but no effect. What can cause this error? I noticed it for the first time in my career when I uploaded the latest version of IPS. Jim M Posted February 18, 2023 Share Posted February 18, 2023 Before you get too far, I'd advise checking the requirements checker on your server: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/ If that is all green, two options to find the actual 500 Server Error: Try going to /admin and seeing what error is present. Jim M Posted February 23, 2023 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Only your hosting provider can assist as Multibyte String is not installed correctly. As it seems to be valid in one folder but not the sub folder. It could be you have multiple versions of PHP installed so you will need to contact your provider to resolve.
