Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SeNioR- Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) What do you think of my revamped editor skin? The look was based on CKE v5, although it is known that for technical reasons I could not implement SVG icons. Anyway, I improved their quality a bit. BTW: The icon file "icons.png" contains strange white shadows and the quality is quite poor, this would be can improved in the default editor 😉 Edited October 27, 2022 by SeNioR-
Afrodude Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) @SeNioR- looks nice, but I won't waste more time trying to make it looks better because the ckeditor v4 will be dead soon. Also, for me I have replaced the poor icons with font awesome instead of svg or any other types of icons. Edited October 27, 2022 by Afrodude SeNioR- 1

CKEditor 4 is supported until 2023. IPS is not going to update the CKE any time soon. I think it's more like a matter of months or even years. Thanks for the feedback. 1 hour ago, Afrodude said: Also, for me I have replaced the poor icons with font awesome instead of svg or any other types of icons. Good idea. Do you have any demo what it looks like? 🙂 Edited October 27, 2022 by SeNioR- Afrodude 1

SeNioR- Posted October 27, 2022 Author Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) @Afrodude looks great 🙂 Are you using FA5 or the built-in FA4? Edited October 27, 2022 by SeNioR- Afrodude 1
SeNioR- Posted October 27, 2022 Author Posted October 27, 2022 I decided to follow your idea and implemented SVG. As you can see, the difference in quality is huge 🙂 Emoji icon in SVG vs Icons in PNG. Afrodude and Senior2323 1 1

I am using FA6, and thanks to @aXenDev's application.  14 minutes ago, SeNioR- said: Emoji icon in SVG vs Icons in PNG. Oh sure, you cannot even compare it there. SVG images always wins. 15 minutes ago, SeNioR- said: the difference in quality is huge 🙂 I cannot agree more, and I hope IPS starting using FA or SVG icons instead of these poor small sized and bad qualities PNG icons. Solution Gary Posted October 28, 2022 Solution Posted October 28, 2022 I like what you've done with the icons, @SeNioR-. I am also a fan of Font Awesome icons. They are just so aesthetically pleasing. For those that want a replacement for the stock PNG sprites, I have discussed this with the devs and they are definitely aware of it. Without giving anyone empty promises, I would watch this space. 😉 Ramsesx, Afrodude, SeNioR- and 1 other 3 1
