Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted July 27, 20213 yr I've never seen anybody with zero posts at all – and we have just had an instance where a new user has joined the forum and made a single post so far and their post count is showing as zero https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/topic/438194-cat-food/ Any ideas please?
July 27, 20213 yr Solution Is it possible that you have the board where this post was posted set to no adding to post count?
July 27, 20213 yr Author I've just checked – and blow me, you are absolutely right. We have one chit chat forum which doesn't auto tweet and which doesn't increment posts. Thank you very much! Edited July 27, 20213 yr by BankFodder
July 27, 20213 yr You're so welcome! Glad to help after receiving so much help here myself. Am posting these instructions, just in case someone else ends up with this problem. If you go into AdminCP/Community/Forums/Forums . . . Find the forum board where this member posted, and click the small Edit/Pencil icon at the right. Click the "Posting Settings" tab. Under the "Posts" settings, be sure that the "Increase content counts" button is toggled to the on position.
July 27, 20213 yr Author Thanks. Actually that setting is deliberate on our forum but I had configured it so long ago that I had forgotten. The new user posted in the wrong forum and I've moved it to the correct forum – although it hasn't had the effect of incrementing her post count – but it's not important.

We have a board set up like this as well, but it's easy to forget about the setting! You can always go in through the AdminCP to manually increase the post count on that user's account, if that helps.
