Beepeeaitch Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 Hi, I'm importing a bunch of data via the API, to a Cloud-hosted Invision site. I'm getting cloudfront blocks (403) very regularly. Can anyone tell me what the rate limiting settings are so I can avoid them? At the moment I'm waiting 3 seconds between threads, and 1 second between each thread reply. At this rate I'll be doing this until September 😂

Ron_ Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Unfortunately this is a side-effect of utilizing just about any cloud based service. Your best bet is to submit a ticket providing the dataset you need imported, and see if they can perform a manual import on their end for you, assuming you are using IPS Cloud service for your website. Working around the cloud API rate limiting is likely not going to be possible from the end user side. If any temporary allowances are possible it would surely need to be requested via a ticket.
