Help remove from the home icon pages and check read both

community would be very helpful to be able to remove the icon house and text and icon marked as read. of the pages to be able to occupy more space for my sliders attached screenshot:



 

I understand that it will be to remove certain code of the theme in edit html and css can someone please tell me the steps and what code I have to remove since it is for the slider to reach higher.
