This plugin will give the ability to filter topics (on forum view) by the first letter of topics title.

Settings:

• Groups allowed to use it
• Forums where to use it

 

 

 

Hi, I just installed the plugin.  Thanks.

Pagination doesn't work on letters.  For example, click on Letter A page 1.  Then go to page 2, you see results from all letters.

File updated on marketplace. As you're the only one who downloaded it, version kept. Update your install. 👍

Love this file - very useful to organize and sort your forums!  

When I click on a letter without content starting by the letter, I get the standard blank page of the empty forum.   So far normal, but the letters bar disappears. In order to filter again, I have to click backwards on the browser.

I tried with the standard template and it does the same thing. 
Would it be possible to keep the letter bar visible when there are no results ?  for future upgrades at least.  It's a little annoying but also not very important since most of us using this plugin will have lots of topics to sort.

Does it show up in mobile devices? I honestly don’t remember. I guess it shouldn’t as there is no much space for it.

It does and works perfectly on mobile too. 

I guess the layout isn't that bad. At least the letters are still big enough to tap. 

 

Agreed, not that bad. I’ll take a look to see if it can be improved when I have to update it.

Is it possible you could tell me how to hide the "#" symbol with css? If not no worries, I'll ask around on the forum.

Not that good with CSS, sorry. It would be easier to edit the plugin template and remove it.

UPDATE:

WOW, that wasn't hard. I found the correct template file thanks to the search feature. I then removed 1 line of code, and now it's gone.

Thank you for recommending for me to do it that way. Easy fix.

I've just upgraded to 4.5, brought this again & installed it. I've set it to be seen by everyone on every forum, but it doesn't appear. Any suggestions please?

I've no idea why, but it's now working 🙂

 

I was about to test it. Are you hosted on any cloud service? Probably a cache.

I am in cloud - I don't know if it's a spooky coincidence or cloud related, but it started working immediately after I updated your "Copy Topic" plugin 🙂

They have nothing to do with each other. Weird. Probably a cache issue.

When I upgraded to 4.7.3 I was informed that this plugin wouldn't work and disabled it. I have enabled it and it appears to work fine. Please can you clarify???

The message is default and will show all 3rd-party resources names you have installed.

If it works, it works. 😀
