Adding an introductory post to a thread?

Hello :)

I have a thread with 20 posts and would like to add an introductory post to the top of the thread. 

How do I do that? (if it's possible)

Assuming you are a mod / admin, you could make a post and then use Options > Recommend on it, which will "pin" it to the top of the thread.
