Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
braymond64 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I would like to track activity (new topics, new posts, and views) on a per-category basis. For example, with a setup like this: Flintstones (category) Fred Barney Wilma Jetsons (category) George Jane Judy I would like to track activity separately for Flintstones and Jetsons. Part 1: Topics and Posts In older versions of IP.Board, I was able to get this information. But, the statistics chart in the current version shows new topics and new posts for the entire site only. Does anybody know of a plug-in that would show this data? Part 2: Views For views, I am having issues because of how topics are named. In Google Analytics, I can track views on the forum listings because I can drill down using the forum name, such as: myforum.org/forum/1-fred/ myforum.org/forum/2-barney/ etc. Then I can add these up to see how many views are in the respective categories. But, when you get to topics, the forum name is no longer included. For example: myforum.org/topic/500-cave-dwelling/ If I could get the forum name into the topic URL, then I could track it in GA. For example: myforum.org/1-fred/topic/500-cave-dwelling/ or myforum.org/1-fred/500-cave-dwelling/ Is this possible? Or is there some other way of accomplishing this that I don't know about? Thank you, Raymond
