Allowing users to modify own unapproved topics..

I cannot seem to find a setting or option to allow this. In specific sections of our site we expect threads to have extra detail/information before allowing the public to view them.

How we've done this in the past (previously using SMF) is by making all topics require approval and as our mods find the topics they can approve them or reply telling our members what information they need to add.

Right now when members go to view this own (unapproved) threads, they are greeted with a not so nice permission error (see below). Is there an option or a plugin that will allow members to view their own unapproved threads?
