Bulk email old members database?

So I know its pretty much not possible to just stick the members db from an old 3.x ipb into the new system and then go bulk email them.

 

What im asking is if someone can rig up a system where I can either create ghost accounts with the emails in them from my old db so I can bulk email them from my new 4.x and then delete them from the sql or something of that sort. I have two backups that are very outdated but very large that I would like to be able to advertise to again, ipbs email system has always worked great for me and I dont want to bother with some other option. Please let me know your guys ideas and thoughts. Thanks.
