The Forum Competition widget is a great way to highlight a topic-based competition on your forum, improving engagement. Easily select a forum to use that will hold the entries, add an end date and link to the competition details and you can show off the latest entries into the competition, show the number of entries and display the countdown till it's over.

yes will work on new demo site if need one view it work can sort this out.

to setup click pencil and given options

fill in title for competition date and forum the topics will be posted in

once you added the option you add sidebar or main forum widget that display the area the topic can be posted and how many people entered into your competition, the winner chosen by you depending what the item is for and once its finished create topic with winner name etc.

I believe that jp question was if it also works on 4.2.x. From your answer I imagine it does, correct?

last tested 4.2.6 just not tested on any beta's but any issue let me know.

Some ideas to make this a lot better:

• able to make competitions recurring (eg monthly, weekly)
• able to select a winner somehow automatically (i.e. by the most likes)

This plugin has been tested on 4.4.x so no issues been found and confirm working so far.
