Szymon Narożniak Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Hi there, Forum in response to the content not found returns an HTTP 404 (Not found). My specialist SEO would like to reply to the content that were removed were using codes HTTO 410 (Gone). Such a response makes the search engine (Google) quickly remove the content from its index. Such a thing in the case of the Forum may be something indicated. The distinction, witch HTTP code should pay can be simple, booting check ID content question whether it is smaller or larger than the value of autoincrement table in the database. A value less than autoincremetn means that something was removed and HTTP code should be 410. A value greater than autoincrement means that the content still is not, and then HTTP code should be 404. Thanks Andrzej
Mark Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 For what it's worth (this isn't to say we won't do it, but just FYI), Google's documentation says they treat 404 and 410 the same.
