Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
mark007 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Hello, I got the following message from Google: Move the tag inside the head. We have detected that the Google Analytics tracking code is outside of the section on this page. This decreases the likelihood that the tracking beacon will be sent before the user leaves the page. One of the main advantages of the asynchronous snippet is that you can position it at the top of the HTML document. This increases the likelihood that the tracking beacon will be sent before the user leaves the page. We've determined that on most pages, the optimal location for the asynchronous snippet is at the bottom of the section, just before the closing tag. Solution: Ensure that you add the Google Analytics tracking code onto this page before the closing tag. I am using Analytics with IPB here: (ACP) Analytics tools allow you to track page views and user behavior within your community. There are many providers to choose from; some are free while others may charge a fee. If you do not already have a preference, Google Analytics is a good, free choice for most communities. Analytics provider None Google Analytics Piwik Other So it would be better to put Analytics in the head section without doing this with the design modus (JS before end body tag for all Javascript) It should be an option especially for analytics in 4.1.18 Best wishes Mark
