Change post display order

My users, and I am sure others would like to be able to change the order posts are displayed in threads, so that the last post is displayed at the top of the 1st page of a thread rather than the current system of at the bottom of the last page.

I haven't seen a reply on this so I'd like to see this too.  In 3.x versions we were allowed to set the view order based on date, descending; anyone have a hook or way to do that?
