IP.Nexus custom fields not editable for users

Hello,

I'm testing IP.Nexus now and I'm little bit confused about how custom fields work. I'd like to set some fields in my ACP, but I don't want customers to be able to modify them, i.e. I have products with different langauges or release dates, so customers should be aware of such informations, but not able to change them. Is this possible with default IP.Nexus? If not, is there an app or a plugin for this?
