Fixing event sorting on the calendar?

I'm sure I'm not the only one inconvenienced by how the calendar sorts events by default ._. To clarify, here is an example:

Event A is scheduled on the 15th, at 21:20, and repeats every week.

Event B is scheduled on the 22nd, at 18:00.

Because A is older than B, the daily schedule for the 22nd will show Event A first, and Event B second, even though Event B happens before A on that day.

 

 

Rather than sort events by their absolute time, it would make a lot more sense for the calendar to sort them by each day of occurrence.

My question is, is there any way to fix this so it works properly and sorts events daily rather than absolutely? Or is there some type of mod/plugin that does this?
