Can a permanent image be set for Categories?

Is it possible to set a "static" permanent image for the Gallery Categories?  I dont like how it simply takes the first image of an album and sets it from that.  I would prefer to somehow set categories image from the ACP.  This way I can create categories that are self explanatory to the end user because the category image can be used as the description.

I do acknowledge that the name of the category is fine but I would prefer to set a stock image of my choosing here.  Any insight would be appreciated.
