Removing Import by URL for Profile photos

IPS community,

I would like to disallow the Import by URL option for Profile Photos:

I was able to remove the options visually and comment parts of the code related to it in:

applications/core/modules/admin/members/members.php
and, applications/core/modules/front/members/profile.php

but unfortunately this feature still seems to be available. Removing this feature visually does not satisfy my needs. I would like to have it gone completely (visually + systematically)

How do I disallow this feature completely so the web server does not send a request to download the image for CORS reasons. Could I be guided into the right direction?
