Babounet Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Hi.It was possible on 3.4.x...It is possible to forbid a group to send PMs?My "Banned" group may send... Not normal.Thanks.
Jim M Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 ACP -> Members -> Groups -> edit group you want to disable permissions -> Social tab, scroll down to Messages heading and insert 0 for messages
Babounet Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 Already tested with "0" or "-1" but I get the following message :"This value must be equal or superior to 1"
Babounet Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 No news anymore...It is a bug ?I should report this on bug tracker ?

Morrigan Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Sounds like a bug. My question here becomes is why are you using a banned group instead of the ban feature? I'm sure that that works a little better?
Tracy Perry Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Sounds like a bug. My question here becomes is why are you using a banned group instead of the ban feature? I'm sure that that works a little better?Possibility of custom styling for a banned group?
Hexsplosions Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I'm bumping this because it's a feature that's actually quite useful. In the same way one may wish to approve the posts of new users in the early days, but setting the group to permanent post moderation and have a promotion after a number of approved posts, one also needs the ability to restrict the sending of PMs for those same users. That's a gaping hole in the permissions that means abusive messages and spam messages can be sent, completely hidden from the admin unless they are reporting.
Bobh Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I think this is an important option, On the older version I prohibited members from messaging until they reached 10 posts, can't do it now!!
