[Help] IPS 4 - posting to topic via a form

Hi guys,

First off let me start by saying i am not sure if this is the correct area to post this, if it isn't please move it.

I am asking on behalf of a friend who has made a php form, he is trying to post the results of the form once filled out, into a specific forum as a post. He can't seem to find any documentation relating to ips 4. Found something that appeared helpful Topic Posting Library (classPost.php) but apparently that is for ipb 3.x.

Wondering if anyone knows where there is some documentation for IPS 4 relating to making a form output a post to a specific forum, or if there isn't documentation whether someone can help?!
