I would like to see front page like facebook: Box where you can write your message, select forum if you want or use default forum. Then people can comment. Comment field would show Name and comment. Point is that you can write your message right away, don´t have to select forum etc. That page could show 5-10 latest topics so it would not be resource intensive. So people could use this "easy page" or normal forum view if they like.
