Hello I hope my question is not to vague, and I also hope this is the correct place to ask this

So the community who I administrate wants to integrate just the IPB forums into there wordpress site. Meaning they will be using Wordpress for there day to day activities but when they click on the forums link it will take them to the IPB site i set up for that purpose. My question is since they would like this process to be seamless i would need to setup some sort of SSO where WP would be the Master and IPB being the slave (or so i assume). Can anyone direct me to a guide or give me some general knowledge on how this would be setup, as i am clueless on how to configure SSO.
