It does not. MailChimp will help you determine which are invalid but this plugin does not delete users or manage invalid email addresses

what do you mean with "other information"? i uploaded the api... the instructions are not helpfull...!

 

You can sync members hitting their required button on their profile in the ACP  . We dropped support for the batch file. We'll probably add something better in the future.

I purchase "Mailchimp sync Pro" yesterday, configure it and try it registering "fake" accounts. I gave it 8-9 hours, maybe for hooks to work I don't know how quick should be, but didn't sync with Mailchimp.

Here are my questions/problems/followed steps:

  - Installed the application
  - Added the Mailchimp API Key
  - In "MailChimp List Display Name": added the ID of the list "**********" (10 characters numbers+letters found in "List name and campaign defaults -> List ID"
  - In "MailChimp User Name Merge Code": added "*|MERGE1|*" and also tried "*|FNAME|*". ¿Maybe I should not put the "*|" and "|*" symbols? just "FNAME" or "MERGE1"?
  - Rest I left it in 0
  - When should it sync? right after they register? or right after they validate their email?

I attach the log that Mailchimp gives. It seems it connects and sends the info. There are 2 different logs:

1- Using *|FNAME|*

  - From 05:45:34 to 05:46:40 = when registering
  - From 05:47:53 to 06:47:55 = when validating email from automatic email sent to user

2- Using "FNAME" (without *| |*)
 
  - From 05:56:55 to 05:56:58 = when registering
  - From 05:57:40 to 05:57:45 = when validating email

Let's recap:

  - MailChimp API Key  =  ********************-us18 (no empty spaces)
  - MailChimp List ID  =  "**********" 10 characters numbers+letters found in "List name and campaign defaults -> List ID (no empty spaces)
  - MailChimp TAGNAME for the Merge Field for Member's Name  =  FNAME (no empty spaces, no special characters)

 

  - The API Key -> gives log's so it's correct connected
  - List ID -> I copy paste it
  - TAGNAME -> I used the FNAME as shown in the image, also tried "MERGE1" that is the default one.

I have tried a test signup twice

It says insert list name which I did, on your instructions (perhaps old ones) it says insert ID number which I tried also

 

yes I added the api key also

I am still getting 0 on my list, any ideas?

I cant find the api logs anywhere

What you will want to use is what MailChimp now calls the "Audience ID" in the slot called "MailChimp List Display Name" (this will be updated in the next version as they changed things around recently)

You can check the system log in Invision Community's ACP to look for any logs the system will record. If any errors from the app, please let me know and I can help you figure it out.

You will want to remove the *| and |* on either side, just the name is needed

I have a few errors, looks like it might not be compatible with the latest version,  it does say its compatible up to the last one.

is this going to be updated? or should i try and find an alternative?  happy to pay the 15 usd again

I have the aws plugin for sending emails,  when we send a bulk email and the mail chimp plugin is on, we are getting 4-6 duplicates per email address.  When i turn the mail chimp plugin off, we are ok

I am only using the mail chimp plugin to collect emails from signups, nothing else.

Gotcha. We do not touch any part of the bulk email process except for the unsubscribe so that is particularly interesting that there would be a conflict. I'll investigate it this weekend to see what is happening here.

The issue here with the email address not coming over is a known issue that is on the bug list. Not missing any information though, just an incorrect pass attempt 🙂 .

Can use this file to be compatible with PHP 8, otherwise it works fine.
