The Guy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 People keep complaining that registration goes through but are automatically banned. Not sure as to why, I don't know if these people are known on the IPS Anti Spam servers or not, but they are okay posters. They don't spam. I don't get it, every new member is placed into that group. I looked at all the registration settings. Edit: By the way this is on 3.4.7
AndyF Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 What do you have set for each 'code level' for the Spam Service ? I'm assuming you're using that. Are you using any third party spam addons such as SFS or suchlike ?

AndyF Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Settings look OK, Normally I suggest Code4 is "No not permit them to register" but that may make it worse in your case.Do the effected accounts all have something in common ie the same email type ? ie all @specific_domain.com ?
AllanLima Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I made a new ipb4 installation (not upgrade) and have the same problem! after some members to register receive a message that they are banned :SI did not edit any configuration ipb4, all options are default. I have no plugins installed.
Adriano Faria Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I had to disable SPAM SERVICE on my test install. It was banning people. NOTE: no change on default settings. It was the way board was installed.

It was the way board was installed.I was testing registration on my test instance of IPS4 and was thinking it was because I submitted too many registrations from my IP but tested from a different browser and IP and get banned as well.
