Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Webfusion Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I love IP Board, but I've always wondered why this simple feature has not been implemented. For the longest time, we've been forced to use a MOD ("T31 Group Format") to give each of our member groups different colors on our forum. This as a standard feature in PHPBB (where we migrated from), and the ability to assign a color to groups has been a staple with every other forum package I've ever used, with the exception of IP board. Can this please be implemented into a future upgrade? Having to make all the edits (as well as the fact that the T31 mod frequently breaks with each new update, and is very slow to be fixed by the author for various reasons) makes using an external mod a true PITA. Please consider adding this basic forum staple to a future upgrade. Thanks.
Jakeomatic Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Support. I don't see why this shouldn't be implemented.
Francismori7_2 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Each group has a different color if you know your HTML... This is already in. There's no real need to colorize every single occurrence of the user name.
