Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
eric_ Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here Well this is where my installation failed. I guess some admin on your end needs to fix something before my installation will finish. I've refreshed enough times to no that isn't going to work.

eric_ Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Silly me didn't understand the fact i can put a ticket in for such answers. Now I know and now it's installed correctly. You have to watch, the directions state you need to have permissions set to "CREATE", "DROP" and "ALTER" But that wasn't enough permissions for the installation.
