Looking for ACP(?) setting

I remember, this very forum had the issue described below and somehow you guys fixed it.
Possible to remind me how it was done?

When you click on "Today's active content" several pages are displayed.
1st page displays fine in chronological order.
You spend some time on page 1, checking some interesting posts and then, when you click on page 2, you'll see something like this:

If there was something new posted between the time you first looked at page 1 and the time, you switched to page 2, it'll be listed at the top of page 2.
On a busy day, it'll take half of page 2.
Same thing will happen, when you spend some time on page 2 and then you switch to page 3.
