Κeith Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 File Name: IPB RetroFile Submitter: ΚeithFile Submitted: 04 Jun 2010File Category: Light Skins I figured that the easiest way to do skin upgrades from 2.3 to 3.1 would be starting with a 2.3-ish base skin. All official IPS Apps are skinned (so that means no tracker, shoutbox, et cetera). Please report any bugs, inconsistencies and requests in the bug tracker! Collin1000 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Is it wrong of me to think this is still my favorite IPB skin ever made? The 2.0 look was awesome.
Andy Rixon Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Its a nice skin, but some of the Comm Devs are working on an official version of the original IP.Board Classic Skin, as part of the Skin Projects. But, good work!

Jeffrey Roberts Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I am receiving the following message when I try to import images-ipb23.xml.gz under IPB 3.1 IP.Board Message Import Failed: Anyone else?I solved my problem by deleting public_style_images/ipb23 and then re-importing
Jeffrey Roberts Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 For anyone interested, I added the following to the bottom of ipb_styles.css to have the appearance a little closer to my IPB2.3 classic skin /* * Modifications 06/10/2010 */ .row1 td { background-color: #f0f5fa; /* Very light blue */ } .row1 .altrow, .row1.altrow { background-color: #dfe6ef; /* Slightly darker than row1 */ } .row2 td { background-color: #f0f5fa; /* Very light blue */ } h4 { font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; } h4 a { color: #222222; } #breadcrumb a { font-weight: bold; } #breadcrumb a:hover { color: #5176bc; } .desc { color: #93969b; font-weight: bold; }

Jeffrey Roberts Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Add this to the bottom of your ipb_styles.css to change the forum description color: .desc { color: #93969b; font-weight: bold; }
Worldoversea Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I just installed 3.1.1 and this classic skin. The bottom header is hard to read and all tabs are not working. You can see here http://jeeptalk.net/jeeptalk31/ The classic skin is the only thing keeping me from totally moving over to 3.1.1, I'm still running 2.3x Thank you for your attempt at getting this done.
Worldoversea Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I just installed 3.1.1 and this classic skin. The bottom header is hard to read and all tabs are not working. You can see here http://jeeptalk.net/jeeptalk31/ The classic skin is the only thing keeping me from totally moving over to 3.1.1, I'm still running 2.3x Thank you for your attempt at getting this done. Found out what the problem was. I'm testing with IE7 which most of my users still use. IE8 and Firefox shows up fine. I notice that the search box follows the tabs on top to the right and the user login box is to the right using some of the real estate of the same horizontal line. If the search box gets pushed more to the right will this interfere with the user box on the right? Many thanks for your contribution. JB
Worldoversea Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Seems like I had an old version of Firefox as well with regards to the login box taking up the real estate. I updated and now it is showing fine. Is there an easier way that I can do these colors to the cleancut skin? Many thanks.
