Quote and Code button behaviour

It's a small thing, but I would like to see this change:

When there is no text selected and I click the Quote button, there are two tags generated: _quote_ _/quote_ and then the cursor is placed at the end of the close tag. Same thing with the Code button.

If I click one of those two buttons, then the assumption should be made that I am going to type or paste something, so why not immediately place the cursor between the open and close tags?

There's a PHPBB forum that I frequent, and it has this behaviour. It's just a nice thing to not have to position the mouse and click or cursor back over to where I can start typing. It also cuts down on the amount of screwups when I don't get in between the brackets all the way.
