Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Justin White Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I receive this error when trying to join the chat. [#CJOIN-0] There was an error connecting with the chat room. Please notify an administrator.
dvancouver Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Some of my members are also receiving this, is there a connection to IE6 with this error?
Power Optix Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I get this as well. In both Firefox and Safari.
Reitaksvk Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 everybody have this problem after update to beta 3
Enkidu Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 has anyone considered down-grading to beta 2?
Management Charles Posted December 4, 2009 Management Posted December 4, 2009 Everyone does not have this problem since updating the beta 3. Hundreds of people are using it fine. We are looking into the problem. No need to :frantics:
bfarber Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I am working with a small group of people on the "CJOIN-0" error. I cannot reproduce, so it's something specific to the server environment or accounts. This error has been present throughout all the betas, not just beta 3. Additionally, most people have indicated if you simply refresh the page, you can reach the chat room fine.

If there's anything I can do (and I'll give you full shell access to the server if you need it), please let me know. ..Al

Reload the page will load the chat...
Enkidu Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 stuck in "Please wait while we load the chatroom..." I've cleared the cache like a million time
Enkidu Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 stuck in "Please wait while we load the chatroom..." I've cleared the cache like a million time  I'm in I'm in (w00t) the issue was that I have customized the chat room skin bit so IPB skipped updating that skin bit to beta 3  I've reverted the changes and now it's working :)
Power Optix Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The [#CJOIN-0] error seems to have disappeared from Safari. I visited a chatroom that I've never been to before and got in just fine. The same website in Firefox got the error (cleared with a refresh). This also happens when I visit my own chatroom.
Depotoir Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Yeah, I'm getting this error, too. Sometimes. A quick refresh and it's all right.
texterted Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Well, IPS must be doing something good on their end... it didn't happen when I just tried it on my forum tonight. I'll see if any of my users get it. Looking good Nah, spoke too soon, it's back to it's error again. I've even got a user "stuck" in there now. I've tried to kick him out and he went but he's still shown in the chat on the index. Oh well... we love these betas!
Reitaksvk Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 No need to :frantics: loool :D paniiiic (w00t)
bfarber Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I believe the CJOIN-0 error is an issue on our end - I've pinned a topic in this forum about it and will update it as more information is made available.
