In my error log I see in last time lot of these and similar logs:

What is it?

I think that they are errors coming back from the Javascript in IP.Board. Nothing to worry about, think it just doesn't know that it needs to parse:

+ ipb_var_image_url +

This is a javascript variable that gets replaced by the actual image URL. If everything is working fine on your site, then you shouldn't worry about this :)

Yes, forum is running fine, these variables suddenly appeared in my error log since 16th February, I don't know why.

You have a custom skin? Rather than an IP.Board bug I'd lean more towards a javascript issue in your custom skin myself.

No, I use only old Blue classic and new Pro skin without big changes.

I have same problem. I also have 8000-1000 "guests" online which are "GET"-ing and my server log is getting bigger.

Same for us, we have the same problem. But IP.Board is working fine. Maybe some bots, the U-A string is always the same with those errors : "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1;1813)". I think it's a bot or something else.

I'll add my name to the list as well. I get those all the time. Only using the ProBlack skin.

Has anyone found a solution to this error? I can't even recreate it, I've been trying to get this damn thing fixed for months. At most, can we at least stop the error from filling up my error logs?

I noticed all the IP's are not of the US, I've searched a few and none of them are members. But the error is constantly poping up..

Any solution yet?

So far, we've narrowed it down to happening only on IE6 browsers, it doesn't affect the user at all, but fills up the logs.. On mine.. It's rather light.. I get a handful of them per day, but my forum is better than 50% of users on Firefox or IE7..

We've actually got a site that was getting about 50 of those errors PER SECOND.. And that's the one they're working with now to try and find the problem. I was able to stop it on that site, but it was only an emergency fix.. My fix wound up breaking some other important javascript.

I don't see anything updated in the bug tracker, and as of this morning, when I spoke with the developers.. there was no fix for it.. So, I assume that means they still don't have a solid fix for it. But I know because that site was getting so many of the errors per second, it ratcheted that problem up to a much higher status. From annoyance to big problem.

If anyone has any ideas, we would all love you forever! :P
