dyelton Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 By no means should you support all cell phone browsers on the market but I think designing a mobile version(s) of the site to work with the major packages is quite beneficial, especially as mobile use ramps up. Develop for mobile Firefox, Opera Mini, IE (Pocket PC) and iPhone for example. I don't think anyone expects a company to support every single mobile phone browser in the world, but it would be nice for support of the major ones to be supported, and to not do that is, as I stated earlier, a missed opportunity.
Mat Barrie Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 What Dyelton said is correct. Essentially, developing for the iPhone results in a page that pretty much doesn't work at all in other mobile browsers. The reverse of that is not true, as a page designed for other mobile browsers is pretty much guaranteed to work on an iPhone. I think most people would be content if Lo-Fi actually supported posting.
