RSS Export on a per-post basis

(Apologies if this is a duplicate. It's not easy to search, seeing as "RSS" has fewer than four letters.)

1. The RSS export feature currently is clearly topic-centric. Each topic has only one entry, and even though there are various options - sorting by topic start or last post, etc - you don't get notified on new replies. Seeing as the whole point of a newsfeed is to notify you when any content is created, there should at least be an option to make a post-based stream.

In this stream, the entry titles of topics could be distinguished for example by post number (so it reads "Topic title (#3)", "Topic title (#4)", and the authors and dates displayed would be those of the individual posts, not the first post of the topic.

2. The RSS import could benefit from a similar concept. Rather than only offering the option of dumping all entries into a certain forum as "new topics", perhaps there could be an option to have them added as replies to a certain topic? This would avoid clutter, especially if there are several streams which generate a lot of content.

3. This is probably the most time-consuming and complex change, so I have little hopes of it being included. But it would rock like anything.

Basically, could you allow for "dynamic" RSS streams somehow? For example, Drupal allows users to enter a URI like /blog/1/feed, which would return a feed containing only entries in user 1's blog. Translated into IPB, this could be a URI like /index.php?act=rssout&topic=305, which would return a stream containing the posts in topic 305.

If it is possible to dynamically access such a stream without the admin having to create it first, the whole feed system becomes a lot more powerful. This could be an optional feature - the admin could choose to "Enable dynamic streams".

Of course, admin-created streams still have their use for aggregating a selected list of forums with specific settings.

I paid Invision to creat the per post RSS export instead of per topic. My RSS feeds for my forum are now updated with each post and contain the entire post and a link back to the forums. I would absolutely love for Invision to make this available to the public in 2.2 final though as it would get rid of it being a modification on my board and a standard feature.

I don't mean to be digging up old topics from the grave, but with 3.1 coming soon, I think this is definitely something that should be considered.
