September 20, 200618 yr Also the dropdown smilies box better only show the favorite smilies only, not all.
September 20, 200618 yr Community Expert Management I've updated the editor. You'll notice a button at the bottom right called "Toggle Side Panel". Click it.
September 20, 200618 yr Community Expert Management You'll also notice that it'll stay open once you've clicked it.There's a flag in the skin HTML that allows you to have the panel opened for everyone until they click the "Toggle" button.
September 20, 200618 yr Ooooh that kicks so much ass. It's displaying funny in FF but that will be perfect. The smilies are sitting over the links. Do you need a screen shot?
September 20, 200618 yr Side panel toggle doesn't work in FF 2 and lupin84 is right about the overlay when it does work..
September 20, 200618 yr Here is how it looks in IE7 RC1 for me:Note the larger spacing between the 2nd and 3rd columns of emoticons as opposed to the 1st and 2nd rows. That's about the only bug that I see so far.
September 20, 200618 yr Community Expert Management Make sure you do delete your cache - the CSS has changed.
September 20, 200618 yr Removed my cache and the difference between rows 2 and 3 is still there. Not that big of a deal though, I'm not that bothered by it. :)
September 20, 200618 yr Ah...looks wonderful! A perfect solution to the previous RTE complaints in my opinion. :)
September 20, 200618 yr The side panel looks great  I can't wait to upgrade my own board with this :D
September 20, 200618 yr Would it be possible to make an ACP option where you could choose which toggle mode should be the default one?The only thing I still haven't got used to with the new editor is the strange look of Topic Title, Topic Description, Poll Options, Post Options & Post Icons being pushed to the right. It looks kind of ok with the side panel open, but very strange when it's not open. I hope this could be looked into to try to give it a nicer layout.Apart from that, great! :)
September 20, 200618 yr I'd noticed that too Korak. I think there must be a better way to organise Post Options and Post Icons but I'm not sure what it is.Also the "BB Code Help" button drops onto a second line, would look better one one (not important but just an observation.
September 20, 200618 yr Would it be possible to make an ACP option where you could choose which toggle mode should be the default one?Apart from that, great! :)I agree. Can you make the smilies in side panel show as before. no need to scroll down?
September 20, 200618 yr Management I agree. Can we make the smilies in side panel show as before. no need to scroll down?Click "Toggle Side Panel" :)
September 20, 200618 yr Click "Toggle Side Panel" :)I did. but it won't show all smilies on the side panel unless you scroll down. I didn't mean the drop down box.
September 20, 200618 yr Community Expert Management It looks ugly when you have more than the default emoticons enabled - it stretches the sidepanel way beyond the text editor area and leaves a huge blank space between the text editor and the attachments box.I've added in a setting to allow admins to specify that the side panel is open by default. I've also make it so the side-panel facility is removed when using the RTE in PMs, ACP, etc for space reasons.

September 20, 200618 yr I love the new RTE. (w00t) Not fussed on the side panel so I won't be using it, although I could see my members complaining if the option wasn't there, nonetheless it looks stunning.
September 20, 200618 yr The "Toggle Side Panel" is way cool. Overall, the new editor stomps all over the competition (the Brand 'X' editor look like a toy by comparison). It is clean, professional, extensible, and has the best usability factor yet.Rick
