Sinistra Sensei Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Not to say anything bad about how hacks are installed on IPB. but maybe a plugin system like vB. make it easy for those that don't know how to hard code a modification into the board script I use to have vB but switched back to IPB for its support and alot flexible then vB. so I think aaddig in a plugin system will help. Better gallery and blog installs throught hte pughin system will cut down on support tickets and all that
DAN21 Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I think you could use the MODinstaller written by pit for making installation of mods alot easier.
Sinistra Sensei Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Thats 3rd party coded. Its better if it was an offical coded script better support and better funtionality with a offical plugin system EDIT I also looked on IZE. The MODInstaller, has not even ben coded for IPB 2.1.x unless I missed it somewhere
Dark Phantom Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 There is already a version or at least something similar to the plugin system. blame the modification writters for using it more...
ryder Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 blame the modification writters for using it more... They can be blamed for some edits but not all. If you need to say display some information in a topic then you have no choice but to edit the files.

Majdi 2.1 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I highly recommend a plugin system simmilar to VB or mybbIPB really need one
